First, the way to install the system is to use PE or Rufus. As for the source of the system image, the preferred choice is MSDN: https://next.itellyou.cn/
System installation completed. The first step is definitely to set the disk label correctly because many software and shortcut paths are based on the original ones. Only with the correct disk label can the software be used normally.
Next, install DX3.5 and Microsoft runtimes to avoid DLL file missing issues.
There is also a somewhat special part that some software may require, the Microsoft .NET runtime. This depends on the software being installed, for example, the ImageGlass image viewer that I use requires it, so it's good to install it as well.
Then comes the most important step, setting the paths of the Desktop, Downloads, Pictures, and Documents folders under the personal folder to a drive other than C. I prefer using the D drive, so that every time I reinstall the system, I can do it directly without worrying about backups. Most software I use are portable versions, and even for software that doesn't support portable versions, the data is saved on the D drive, so after reinstalling the system, the original data can still be used normally.
As for activating the system, installing Adobe, Office, and other software is also a breeze, as long as it doesn't involve configuring environment variables. Changing systems is as easy as drinking water.
